Each year, Inc. 5000 ranks the fastest-growing private companies in the country and Pittsburgh area companies are no stranger to the list.
The highest-ranking company in the region is Medical Monks in Canonsburg — at 474 with a 1,014% growth rate. The online company sells medical supplies to businesses and consumers.
Health care is big business in Pittsburgh. Other local companies in that sector on the list are ThoroughCare (No. 854) with a reported growth rate increase of 572%, North American Dental Group (No. 2,810) with 175% growth and Net Health (No. 3,363) with 105% growth.
The second-highest local company on the list is eNGINE (No. 670), an employment and consultant services company based in West Mifflin that reported 726% growth. Rounding out the top three is Oakmont-based financial services company Lending Heights (No. 827) with 592% growth.
Inc. magazine compiles the list based on self-reported data from the companies, which must have generated revenue as of March 31, 2017, including at least $100,000 in 2017 and at least $2 million in 2020.
